Malakhi Pounce de Leon
These pages will be revamped shortly, but for now, they will have to do.
Malakhi is a 3rd generation Pixie-Bob. What is a Pixie-Bob? Well, legend has it that it is the result of a mating between a Bobcat and a barn cat. These offspring when breed together, produce a very wild looking kitten that carries the recessive genes of a bobcat (ie, short tails and polydactyl feet). Malakhi’s tail when full grown will be about six inches long (if you check out the description of a bobcat, it will say that a bobcat’s tail will be between 4 and 7 inches). His feet are enormous! He’s got 7 toes on the front and 5 on the back. He is a little spastic right now, but also very sweet. At 14 weeks, he was somewhere in the neighborhood of 4.5 lbs. We’re expecting him to be about 17 lbs at maturity, hopefully he’ll make it to 20 lbs. Here are some pics that I took the weekend we brought him home.
